I am a new novelist who has retired from a career in business and marketing. Throughout my career, I have been attentive and diligent in my efforts to write in the corporate environment; letters, plans, reports, discussion papers, proposals and marketing communications. I am an avid reader of non-fiction and fiction with a particular interest in Canadian and classic literature. I have always wanted to be a novelist. For a long time, I had kept hidden my passion to write fiction. I have had a passion for playing many sports and supporting professional sports team, and I understand the power of sports to build lasting warm relationships. I have had a passion for listening to music and am a big fan of jazz, and I understand the power of music to bring happiness, satisfaction and warm relationships. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta, and life long learning in areas of leadership, marketing, local business advocacy (fellowship) and writing (including creative writing). I have faced similar adversities as those that the character Jackie has faced, and I understand how they can make you stronger.
